Die Almen im Tegernseer Tal lassen sich bis um das Jahr 1200 urkundlich nachweisen.
\nDie Bezeichnung Aibl deutet auf eine kleine, nahe dem dazugeh\u00f6rigen Hof gelegene, Alm hin.
\nDas Aibl f\u00fchrte vorher den Namen Schmied Aibl, geh\u00f6rte also zum Schmiedhof in der unterhalb gelegenen Ortschaft Point, mit den Anwesen H\u00f6\u00dfenschuster, Bachler, Graber, Pointer und Schmied.
\nAus einer Almnachricht des Klosters Tegernsee, das die Grundherrschaft besa\u00df, geht hervor, dass die f\u00fcnf Anwesen die Waitbergalm an der S\u00fcdseite des Hirschbergs schon im Jahre 1427 beweideten.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr den Schmiedhof war das Aibl eine Voralm, auch als Niederleger bezeichnet. Dorthin wurde das Vieh im Fr\u00fchjahr vor dem Auftrieb auf den Hochleger (Leger = Alm) am Waidaberg f\u00fcr zwei bis drei Wochen gebracht. Im Herbst beim Almabtrieb geschah dies in umgekehrter Reihenfolge, vom Hochleger zum Niederleger in den heimatlichen Stall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Das Schmied Aibl wechselte mehrfach seine Besitzer. Vom Schmiedhof kam es zum Bachler-Anwesen, dann zum Rainer in Weissach und ging schlie\u00dflich 1963 in den Besitz der Familie Buchberger \u00fcber, die sie bis heute als Jungviehalm betreibt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toni Buchberger erneuerte in den Jahren 1965\/66 die Almh\u00fctte zu dem Zwecke eine Cafe- und Brotzeitstube zu betreiben, die er auch f\u00fcnf Jahre mit seiner Familie f\u00fchrte. 1971 \u00fcbergab er das Cafe Schmied Aibl, heute Almgasthaus Aibl genannt, seiner Tochter Leni und Schwiegersohn Schorsch Ertl. Seit dem Jahr 2001 leitet Schorsch Ertl mit seiner Frau Anita den Familienbetrieb.<\/span><\/p>\n

Am Tag der Er\u00f6ffnung am 31. Juli 1966 war das denkw\u00fcrdige Spiel der Fu\u00dfball WM im Wembley Stadion, das Deutschland gegen England mit 2 : 4 verlor.<\/p>\n
